At-Large Director, Region IV (Australia, New Zealand, Asia) (Term: 2025-2027)
Dr. C. Henry Annandale is the Head of School and Dean of Veterinary Medicine at Murdoch University in Western Australia. His previous academic experience includes 16 years at the University of Pretoria in South Africa (Director of Clinical Services and Associate Professor in Reproduction). A prominent scholar in infectious disease and reproduction, he has made key contributions to research on transboundary diseases, especially lumpy skin disease in cattle. He holds Diplomate status with the American College of Theriogenology (since 2005) and the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine (since 2021). More recently, Dr. Annandale has also published on veterinary andragogy and educational innovations focused on enhancing the skills training of veterinary students. With a further formal background in business management, Dr. Annandale has been able to bring different skill sets to his role, fostering an evidence-led and responsive approach to leadership in the rapidly changing world of veterinary education.
