Visiting Veterinary Colleges

Just as in the selection of a preprofessional college, visiting your choice of veterinary colleges is extremely important. Try to visit at least one veterinary college during your selection process. Most veterinary colleges offer a spring "open house" program for prospective students. An "open house" offers a prospective student the opportunity to tour classroom and medical facilities, speak with faculty, staff, and students, and ask questions. The AAVMC recommends that you visit at least one school your first year and another in your second year of undergraduate studies.
