Instate/Out-of-State/Contract SeatsProspective veterinary students living in a state with a veterinary college may have an advantage over those who do not. State-supported veterinary colleges do give preference to residents. However, some states without veterinary schools provide excellent contract arrangements with other states' veterinary colleges for their residents. Other veterinary colleges do not discriminate between resident and nonresident applicants. For a complete list of contracting states and provinces, please order the AAVMC publication Veterinary Medical School Admissions Requirements in the United States and Canada (VMSAR) by calling Purdue University Press at (800) 247-6553. |
