Electronic Communications

The AAVMC offers electronic publications that reach out to diverse stakeholders in veterinary medical education,  including:

A Continually Improving Website

The AAVMC website provides up-to-date information about AAVMC news, events, programs, and initiatives, and will serve as the hub for our electronic communications. Our goal is to make it the “go to” site for those who want to find out what is going on in the world of veterinary medical education, and serve as a portal for students who have an interest in applying to veterinary medical school. Future enhancements are being planned that include more detailed career features and a “members only” section.

E-Bulletin

Our e-bulletin, recently renamed the VetMed Educator,  provides a summary of AAVMC news and events to keep you informed throughout the year. Also, in the future, look for more timely, formatted communications on breaking news and events.

NAVMEC is Working

Spearheaded by the AAVMC, the North American Veterinary Medical Education Consortium (NAVMEC) represented the most comprehensive effort ever undertaken to ensure that veterinary medical education meets society's changing needs. The consortium looked at how educational models, accreditation, and licensing can all work together to create next-generation veterinarians. This ebulletin follows up on some of the results of that ambitious initiative.
