Daryl Buss

Dr. Daryl D. Buss is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Veterinary Medical Education (JVME). Prior to this role, Daryl served as dean of University of Wisconsin-Madison’s School of Veterinary Medicine from 1994-2012, and as chair of the Department of Physiological Sciences at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine from 1979-1994.

He earned MS and PhD degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and was subsequently a postdoctoral fellow at the Max Planck Institute in Bad Nauheim, Germany. He received his DVM from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine.

His disciplinary interests are in cardiovascular physiology, particularly coronary physiology, and in clinical cardiology.

Daryl and his wife Sharon enjoy traveling, tennis, photography, and spending time with family and friends.
