COE Selection Committee


Charge
  1. To develop guidelines and procedures for soliciting AAVMC volunteers to serve on the American Veterinary Medical Association Council on Education (COE), and to present such guidelines and procedures to the Board of Directors for approval.
  2. To develop and maintain a qualification review process for candidates for appointment to the COE. This includes establishment and updating as necessary candidate-qualifications review criteria.
  3. To recommend to the Board of Directors the appointment of qualified candidates to the COE.
  4. To encourage applications for open COE positions from qualified individuals.

Membership

The Committee shall be comprised of five members, serving three-year, staggered terms. One member shall be the AAVMC Past President. Two members shall be members of the Assembly, appointed by the Board of Directors. Two members will be former Council on Education members, preferably academics, appointed by the Board of Directors. The Chair of the Committee shall be elected annually from and by the Committee membership.
